Golok Bosu Mullick is an Indian Sitar Player of the modern era. Shri Bosu Mullick is a torch bearer of the famous Etawah / Imdadkhani Gharana. Shri Bosu Mullick in his childhood was initiated to Sitar playing under the able guidance of his paternal uncle, Late Arun Kumar Bosu Mullick and since then the zest and the spirit began to flow in his blood. The next phase of Sitar training of Shri Bosu Mullick was for a long duration under the tutelage of great exponent of Sitar, Bidushi Kalyani Roy, a disciple of the legendary Sitar Player Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahab, a doyenne of the Etawah / Imdadkhani Gharana. The true revelation of Shri Bosu Mullick came about and the innermost spirit of the said Gharana & music was realized in himself when he had the proud privilege to have the training with all the blessings showered on him from his Guru, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan Sahab, a world-renowned Sitar Maestro as well as an eminent reigning exponent and flag holder of the glorious Etawah Gharana. He has been training under his Guruji (Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan Sahab) since February 2, 2005. This resume would be incomplete without mentioning the name of Pandit Abhijit Banerjee, a well-known Tabla-player, to whom Shri Bosu Mullick is grateful in so many respects. Professionally, Shri Golok Bosu Mullick is an Assistant Registrar (C.R.), Original Side of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta (West Bengal), but his intense love, passion and whole-hearted dedication to the Sitar playing uplifted him to the height of spiritual sphere as a worshipper of God.
